BelloBar is located at Portobello Harbour on the bank of the Grand Canal in Dublin City Center.
The space has a long history as a live music venue from Sunday ballad sessions in the 80’s to Dublin’s punk haunt throughout the naughtiest, after which it fell out of use. BASK was given the opportunity to reinvent this space once again.
The logo needed to be the signature of this space in its new incarnation. It reflects elements of the free flowing accents of a hand written signature, combined it with the geometry of Art Deco typography.
Art deco fan mirrors hidden in the back alcoves of the space provided the interior concept, including the pelmate that runs across the top of the stage wall. It is designed to play with perspective giving depth to the proportionally shallow stage as well as placing perfomances photographs firmly in BelloBar.
